Question: In the Blunder search in Fritz 15 the commentary symbols ??/?/!!/! are not even included whenever running through a fully non-annotated game without having previously run a full analysis. But I would like to see these commentary symbols so that I can immediately spot the critical phases of the game which has been analysed. Things were different some updates ago – then I had submitted the games only to a blunder check and the symbols ?/?? and/or !/!! were then inserted immediately.
Solution: In the setup dialog for the program’s blunder search there is the option “Erase old annotations”.
If this parameter is selected then during the blunder search the program inserts the commentary symbols within the notation!
